Classic COBRA 33 Toughs were a traditional Thames boatbuilder and in the 70's produced two classic motor boats, the Python 27 and the Cobra 33. Alando CK178, a Colchester Sailing Smack ex registered fishing vessel/work boat Built by the renowned barge and smack builders of their day, the Aldous Brothers of Brightlingsea. Initially she was one of a fleet of four, half decked open work boats, commissioned by a local Oysterman in 1923. Originally registered as CK1, then LO111, removed from the register in 1938. Steam Tug which has been in our family since the 70's. She has been featured in the Steam Boat Assoc. publication "The Funnel"a number of times. Engine dates from before 1900 and had Stephenson linkage added at later stage for forward and reverse. Selling due to lack of time and other projects, it would be great to get her back on the water.
