"Lady of Stavoren" was built in 1939 by Wildschutt & Sons of Gaastmeer, Holland.
Although built in 1939 work was not completed as she was then kept in a barn for the duration of the war. The owner's family were evacuated to England during the war, the owner unfortunately was killed whilst serving his country.
In 1951 his widow brought the boat by freighter to England where she was berthed at Teddington on the Thames. The boat was sold in 1955 and moved to Conyer in Kent where completion of the work was carried out with mast, sails,engine and fitted out. She was used for... read more

Registered on the National Historic Ships, she was built to private order in 1923 and subsequently purchased by the post office to operate in the Shetland Isles. Rumours abound that she was used for clandestine operations in World War II which resulted in her capture and scuttling. Mary Bryant is one of the best-known gaff-rigged schooners in British waters.
She was built in Fowey, Cornwall, during 1980-81.
Her accommodation offers: 1 double berth and six single berths all 6ft 6ins in length. Generous headroom throughout of 6ft 6ins.
The first owner, Mike Johnson, was closely involved in her building her and recorded this in a series of articles in the Practice Boat Owner.
